The data behind this site

Every scraper here commits its output, and these are those exact files at stable URLs. They are mirrors: byte-for-byte what the site itself reads, with no wrapper object and no reshaping, because a mirror that quietly differs from its source is worse than no mirror at all.

Licensed CC BY 4.0. Use it for anything, including commercially. The one condition is attribution: credit Madeira Handbook and link back.

Cruise calls at Funchal

Includes calls after they drop off APRAM’s forward horizon, which is the part that exists nowhere else.

Madeira fuel price caps

The official notice carries this week and the next, then overwrites them. This is the history.

Updated 9 Sept 2026, 15:00 UTC · page: /fuel-prices · derived from Governo Regional da Madeira — DRETT

Landing conditions at Madeira airport

Eleven years of LPMA surface wind rolled to one row per day, with the crosswind resolved against runway 05/23. It describes the wind, not diversions.

Levada and trail status

Open, closed, partly open or unclear for every classified PR trail, refreshed hourly.

What these are and are not

These are readings, not authorities. Each one names the upstream it came from and the time it was read, and where the two disagree the upstream is right. Nothing here is hand-typed except the cruise seasonality seed, which carries its own source and the date it was checked.

If a figure matters to a decision — whether a trail is open, whether a road is shut — check the source as well. Every dataset above links to it.
